Nothing you type into a calculator on this site is transmitted to a server or stored anywhere. Every tool runs as JavaScript inside your own browser, so times, dates and pay rates stay in the memory of the page you are looking at. There is no account, no login, no advertising cookie and no tracking script. One preference key is saved on your device to remember light or dark mode.

This policy applies to timecalculator.ca and every page on it. The site is static: the pages are plain files, the calculators are scripts that run on your machine, and there is no application behind them collecting what you do. A clock in time or a birth date is handled entirely by the copy of the page loaded in your browser, and is not posted to an endpoint, written to a database or retained after you close the tab.
The one thing that unavoidably happens, as with every website, is that your browser asks a web server for the page files, and the hosting provider logs that request as ordinary server operation. That is described below. Beyond it, there is nothing.
No account is required, or possible
There is no sign-up, no login and no user record.
Every tool is open to anyone who loads the page. We do not ask for a name, an email address, a phone number or a password, and there is no registration flow that could collect them. With no accounts there is no profile, no usage history and no record of past calculations. Nothing you calculate today is visible to anyone tomorrow, including us.
What happens to the values you enter
Processed on your device, then discarded.
The calculators are JavaScript and run inside your browser. When you press Calculate, the values you typed are read from the boxes, converted into a common unit such as seconds, and the result is written back into the page. Every step happens on your device, and no network request is made.
That includes the values people are most cautious about: pay rates on the Hours Calculator, shift punches on the Time Card Calculator, a date of birth on the Age Calculator. Confirm it yourself: watch your browser's network tab while you calculate, or disconnect from the internet and see the tools keep working. Because nothing is stored, there is nothing to delete, export, or expose if the hosting account were compromised.

The only row involving a third party is the last, and it describes ordinary web server operation rather than anything specific to this site.
Standard web server access logs
Delivering a page needs a request, and requests get logged.
When your browser loads a page from timecalculator.ca it sends a request to the hosting provider's server, and like essentially every web server, that server may record a line describing it, typically containing:
- the IP address the request came from
- the user agent string, which names your browser and operating system
- the requested URL and the HTTP status code returned
- a timestamp, and sometimes the referring page
This is ordinary server operation. Logs of this kind let a host deliver files, diagnose faults, measure load and defend against abuse. They come from the hosting infrastructure, rotate on the provider's own schedule, and are not used here to profile you or follow you between pages. An access log records that a page was requested; it cannot record what you typed into a calculator on it, because those values are never sent.
The one thing saved in your browser
A single localStorage key called tc-theme.
If you use the light and dark mode button in the header, your choice is written to your browser's local storage under the key tc-theme. Its value is the word light or the word dark, and that is all. It exists so the site opens in the mode you picked rather than flashing the wrong background at you.

Local storage is not a cookie. It is never attached to a network request, so its value is not transmitted anywhere, and only pages on this domain can read it. To remove it, clear site data for timecalculator.ca in your browser settings, or use private browsing, which discards it when the window closes. You lose nothing but the theme preference.
Third parties
One: the hosting provider serving the files.
The site's files are stored with and delivered by a hosting provider, which processes the requests described above. It acts on our behalf to serve the site, and it is the only third party involved in an ordinary visit. No content is embedded from another company: fonts are those already on your device, icons are inline SVG, and every script is part of the page. Follow a link elsewhere and that site's own privacy practices take over.
Children's privacy
Not directed at children, and collecting nothing from anyone.
Time Calculator is a general audience utility. It is not designed for or targeted at children, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone of any age, because it collects none at all. Children do use tools like the Time Duration Calculator for homework, and that involves no data collection whatsoever. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has emailed us personal information, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy, and how to reach us
Any change is dated at the top of this page.
If this policy changes, the last updated date in the byline changes with it. We do not revise that date for cosmetic edits, so a new date means the substance has moved. Material changes, such as adding analytics or advertising, will be described in the text rather than slipped in quietly.

Does Time Calculator store what I type into the calculators?
